3 nights at the EI Our MYSTIC ADVENTURE (Ayahuasca Session) Travel program of 3 nights at the Explorers Inn
In addition to our General Services, this tour includes the following:
Day 1
Reception at the airport and transfer to the dock located in the native communit of Infierno from where we board our canoe and start a one-and-a-half-hour journey to the Explorer`s Inn. During the trip we have a box lunch on board and may also see caimans, turtles and capybaras, among other animals. We are received at the Inn with a welcome drink. After resting, we take a short night-hike to see nocturnal rainforest animals. Back at the lodge we have dinner with our guide and some of the Resident Naturalists who are available to answer questions or brief us about the Amazon rainforest and the Tambopata National Reserve.
Day 2
We rise early and walk with our guide approximately three-and-a-half miles to see the giant otters at Cocococha oxbow lake. On the way we observe plants, insects, butterflies, birds, monkeys and possibly, if we are lucky, larger mammals. At the lake we occupy a strategic hiding place and wait for the otters. Afterwards we take a short canoe ride around the lake watching the wildlife on the shoreline. Back at the lodge we have a late lunch and in the afternoon you can either rest or visit our new 40 meters high canopy tower. Afterwards we have a couple of hours available to get ready for the Ayahuasca session. We meet the Shaman in charge of the ceremony to ask him any questions you might have. Then, instead of dinner, we undergo the Ayahuasca ritual which typically lasts between three and five hours.
Day 3
After
breakfast we again meet the Shaman to share our experiences from the previous
night with him and discuss the ceremony. We spend the rest of the morning
visiting local community farms. We have lunch at the Inn late in the afternoon.
We then take a short hike towards Sunset Point with our guide to watch night
fall in the Amazon. Before dinner we observe caimans from the canoe. Back in
the lodge we have dinner.
Day 4
We again wake early to have breakfast and board the canoe to return to Puerto Maldonado. On the way we watch the day dawn over the Tambopata River. Once in Puerto Maldonado we are transferred to the airport to take our return flight.
All of our packages include:
- Being met at Puerto Maldonado Airport.
- Return land and river transport between the airport and the Explorers´ Inn.
- Accommodation in twin-bed rooms with a private bathroom.
- Full board (continental breakfast and two meals per day).
- Guided tours.
Normally the Explorers´ Inn has English-speaking naturalists and Peruvian tour guides on its permanent staff.
