A lot of Amazonian wildlife is extremely shy and we never guarantee what wildlife you will see during your time at the Explorer’s Inn although we can give you odds. Barring constant rain, the overwhelming majority of visitors see a myriad of birds, butterflies and insects. Most visitors also at least glimpse various primate species in the canopy, otters in the lake and the red eyes of caimans at night. a significant minority also see other larger mammals such as saddleback armadillos, white collared peccaries and white lipped peccaries and a variety of bats. rarely, a lucky visitor may also spot other species including southern tamandua, red and gray brocket deer, and coatis, jaguares, margayes, ocelotes, jaguarundis, and giant anteaters. |
