The Explorers Inn is a fantastic Eco Lodge that shelters a great biodiversity inside the National Reserve of Tambopata, this means that just around the facilities great chances of spotting interesting species can occur. The visit to the Cocococha Lake is a unique opportunity of watching a family of Gigant River Otters and observing rare birds like Hornet Screamers wich are massive birds that fly so elegantly like herons and the Clay lick can result in a wonderful show of bright and colorful macaws that come down to the clay lick to nourrish themselves with this red clay to clean their bodies from toxins that they have ingested from eating unripe fruits, you will understand this complex &behavior with the help of one of our naturalist guides.
